China Is Suffering from ACID RAIN
Southeast China is at a bad stage of their development. Acid rain is wearing down national monuments that have stood for thousands of years. Acid rain is killing off plant life causing the land to change to a desert. Acid rain causes a grey lining to buildings. All life in lakes dies off because of the acid rain.
In Southeast China, factories pump out over 25.5 million tons of sulfur dioxide. China’s major source of energy comes from burning coal, even nuclear energy is cleaner and would leave less of an environmental impact. China can reduce this greatly by using “scrubbers” similar to those now used in American factories. They can look to alternative energy sources like hydro plants, wind energy and solar energy. They can use nuclear power plants.
